Daz, Fi and Loz
DAZ AND FI EDIS ALONG WITH LAUREN ROTHWELL
Having left Darwin the previous year, Daz and Fi had booked this trip way back then, and despite Airlie still being a ‘work in progress’ after Cyclone
Debbie, the essentials were up and running so it was all go. Drove to Townsville to pick them up as it is the only way to get a direct flight from Darwin, even with a 12 hour delay. Having been on a fishing trip with Daz in Darwin, Steve and Daz continued the tradition with a fishing trip with Reel Addiction Charters up at Gloucester the next day. Fi and I filled in the day, with a trip to drop Maddy off to Ball Bay and then to Colour Me Crazy in Proserpine. As a surprise we also had Lauren fly up to join us for a weekend! Fi’s first ever attempt at snorkelling (even had a mask made with her eye prescription lenses), so we took a leaf out of the tourist boats who supply their guests with noodles if they are unsure. I even used it as it is a lazy way of sitting above and floating along without expending too much energy. Many drinks, many laughs!
