Amedee Island Day Trip

With only a week to show the Scotts some of New Caledonia, we decided to do a day sail down to Amedee Island on their last day at Ilot Maître.

Skipper Steve took the opportunity to do some ‘Safety at Sea’ lessons, starting with life jackets and anchoring.

We had checked out the schedule for the ‘Mary D’ cruises, to make sure they were coming down, because the lighthouse, shop and events are only open on cruise days.  We had to make do with lunch prepared by ourselves of jambon (ham) baguettes and a coke before a walk up the lighthouse for the Scotts, a beer on the beach and back onboard for the trip back to Ilot Maître.
