Steve’s sister and partner and son run a farm in Grenfell, country NSW, so getting away is always hard. This was a trip originally planned for earlier in the year but finally happened in November after securing a farm sitter for a couple of weeks. Luke was so keen to go fishing that it was decided to again head up to head out with Mick from Reel Addiction for a solid day of man vs fish. I dealt with watermaker repairs, Jim and Lorraine relaxed at Totem Lodge in the morning before we drove up to Gloucester to meet the boys and enjoy a fabulous lunch at the equally fabulous Eco Resort. Then out on the boat for a quick 3 night tour around the Whitsundays, taking in Cid Harbour, Whitehaven and Hamilton. Jim found a passion for kayaking, having previously had canoes. Tried out the crab pot with no luck and similar story with fishing but never the less a great time. A very different environment to the farm!
